Coat of Arms of Kłodzko - it shows a white Bohemian Lion on a red field with a golden crown and a double tail. Coat of arms comes from the dynasty of Czech kings Premyslids.
Legend
Residents of Kłodzko given by the ruler of the Bohemia Přemysl Otakar II of municipal rights, decided to go to the Prague court, to ask the king for granting the coat of arms, which was the most important determinant of urban in the Middle Ages. The king after adoption of the inhabitants of the delegation agreed to give Kłodzko coat, which represented the lion's crown. During the transport of stone sculptures from the image of a lion to Kłodzko accident occurred when the statue fell out of the car and burst in a place where there was a tail. Therefore, the messenger once again went to Prague where he received a new sculpture with arms, with the difference that the sculptor for the safety doprawił lion two tails. This time on the way back, nothing happened and the disc arrived safely to Kłodzko.
Coat of arms
In fact, kłodzki coat was given to the city by King Otakar II Przesmysła between 1253 and 1278. Do not know the precise date, because to date not preserved foundation document or a copy thereof. The figure of a lion with two tails, coat of arms refers to the Kingdom of Bohemia, to whom the land belonged Kłodzko Valley. In turn, its capital - have the status of royal town.
