Sedgemoor Coast FM was a trial radio station which broadcast to
Bridgwater ,Somerset ,England in 1998 and 1999.The station had rivals also running trials, BCR FM and Riverside Radio.
Sedgemoor Coast was regarded by many as a very professional station using the very latest technology to broadcast its programmes.
Sedgemoor Coast FM was a joint partnership between Garry Finch, Sales Manager (who went on to present Star 107.7 breakfast) and Scott Temple, Programme Controller (who currently resides at Ivel FM)
The station broadcast on 107.4 FM in both August 1998 and April 1999 and used ENCO DAD to broadcast all programmes including a high tech Taylor transmitter and processor. All commercials were produced with the help of Orchard FM.
The group teamed up with Westcom Media, who at the time had just won the full time radio licence to broadcast to
North Somerset .An application was submitted to the radio authority in late 1999, but the station was unable to be granted permission on a full time basis, as in May 2000 The Radio Authority awarded BCR FM an 8 year broadcasting licence to transmit to the Bridgwater and
Sedgemoor area.
