Arrowsmith Township is located in McLean County, Illinois. The population was 569 at the 2000 census. Arrowsmith Township changed its name from Pleasant Township on May 17, 1858.

Arrowsmith, Illinois is located in this township. Illinois Route 9 follows the northern boundary of the township. The Horizon Wind Energy, Twin Groves Wind Farm project is roughly centered in Arrowsmith township. Under construction as of 2007 with 240 wind turbine generators planned.
