Adam Best

Adam Best (born 1983, Donaghadee, Co Down, Northern Ireland) is an Irish actor.

He is probably most famous for his role as Matt Parker on the BBC One drama "Holby City". In 2004 he appeared in an episode of "Silent Witness" as a guest and played Young David Kelman. He trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for 3 years.

Adam has a girlfriend Sarah, who is training to be an opera singer. On Friday, February 16, 2007 it was revealed that Adam and Paul Henshall were leaving the cast of "Holby City".

Both Paul and Adam finished filming on the medical drama in December 2006. The pair left 28 March 2007.

Adam made his first appearance on "Holby City" on 3 May 2005 alongside Paul Henshall who enjoyed at the same time. Apart from making a guest appearance in "Silent Witness" he had never done TV work before and "Holby City" was his first big break. Most of his acting was done in the Ulster Youth Theatre and Drama School. He attended Donaghadee Primary School and Bangor Grammar School.

Adam has just finished in the play Truckstop with the Company of Angels touring and at the Hampstead Theatre. He appeared in The Catherine Tate Show Christmas Special, which aired on 25 December 2007.

Research For Holby City Role

Adam went for a day at Colchester Hospital where he was able to speak to real life medical students which was very helpful for him.
