Adam Leitman Bailey is a real estate attorney and principal of the real estate law firm Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. He is considered one of New York City’s best real estate attorneys as a result of his trial skills and drafting of leasing agreements giving greater protections to property owners and commercial tenants. Litigation

Bailey has prevailed in the court room in a number of significant real estate cases including a case that led to changes in the way deeds are recorded, [2] , an important case setting new rules for commercial real estate joint venture agreements [3] ,. , as well as defeating a motion to dismiss on a case of first impression involving the limited liability company law [4] . Leasing Agreements

Mr. Bailey has written and drafted agreements that have been widely adopted by the real estate industry have given property owners greater and more powerful tools when dealing with defaulting tenants. Other clauses provide tenants with protection against overreaching landlords. The contents of these agreements have been presented to the real estate via Mr. Bailey’s columns in the New York Law Journal and Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy, and his frequent lectures to attorneys [5]

Honors

In 2007, Mr. Bailey was identified in the top 5 percent of attorneys in the New York area and named a Super Lawyer by Law & Politics magazine. On July 5, 2006, Real Estate Weekly noted that "Adam Leitman Bailey has made a name for himself with his success winning cases in the courtroom," while on February 1, 2005, the New York Real Estate Journal called him "one of New York's best real estate attorneys" and WPIX-TV referred to him as one of New York's "prominent real estate attorneys." On August 28, 2001, Dateline NBC featured Mr. Bailey’s negotiating ability on national television and called him, "aggressive, tenacious and smart," while the executive director of the Washington Post thanked him for his "wonderful legal and practical help and effectiveness." [11]

Adam Leitman Bailey became one of 223 New York metro area real estate attorneys to receive Super Lawyer honors. Early life

Adam Leitman Bailey was born on April 27, 1970 in Bayside, Queens [12] . In 1976, following his parent's fierce divorce battle, Mr. Bailey moved to Canoga Park, CA where he attended Winnetka Avenue Elementary School followed by John E. Sutter Junior High School.

In 1983 he and his family moved to New Milford, New Jersey where he attended New Milford High School. He later attended Rutgers College where he received his BA in Political Science. Mr. Bailey then earned his JD from Syracuse University College of Law. Mr Bailey was recently invited back to New Milford High School to present the commencement address to the 2008 graduating class.
