Boundary Peak is the highest summit in state of Nevada and is located in Esmeralda County. It is located entirely within the state of Nevada, although it is only about half a mile (1 km) from the California border. Montgomery Peak convert|13445|ft|m is located just across the border in California, and Boundary Peak can be considered a sub-peak of Montgomery. Boundary Peak is convert|82|ft|m higher than the second highest Nevada peak, Wheeler Peak convert|13065|ft|m. An area surrounding the peak is protected as the Boundary Peak Wilderness Area.

Climbing

This peak is most often climbed from the Nevada side. It is recommended that the national forest (Inyo National Forest) be contacted so they can provide climbing information.
