- Pete Abrams
Pete Abrams (born
August 4 ,1970 ) is the writer and illustrator of the onlinecomic strip "Sluggy Freelance ".Pete Abrams went to
Joe Kubert School of Graphic Design but was unable to get a job in the comics industry after school. Instead he got a job as a web designer for a marketing firm, and started "Sluggy Freelance" as a creative outlet. He did not believe the attention span on the Internet was long enough for the kind of elaborategraphic novel s he was used to drawing, so instead he went for a quickly drawn daily strip [http://www.astronerdboy.com/comic-strips/kiosks/advice/Pete_Abrams-p1.html] . (Since its inception, the strip's production has become more and more sophisticated both in terms of graphical and narrative depth. It no longer conforms strictly to the newspaper model of a short black and white strip on weekdays and a larger, full color Sunday edition.) "Sluggy" eventually became so successful that it is now his full time job, and he is reputed to be the first person to make a living at drawingwebcomic s.He currently lives in Denville,
New Jersey , U.S., and is married with two daughters, Leah Nicole Abrams and Sarah Emily Abrams.External links
