Boze has twenty years experience in various one-of-a-kind academic collaborations. Immediately prior to her arrival, the Alaska Legislature merged the Anchorage Community College (ACC) System into the University of Alaska Anchorage. During this time she was the President of the Faculty Senate and helped work through the changes in faculty benefits as well as the reinstatement of the former ACC collective bargaining unit.
ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIP
In 2004, The University of Texas at Brownsville (at that time an upper division and graduate university) and Texas Southmost College (a 75 year old community and technical college) entered into a unique academic partnership that was later expanded into a 99 year agreement. The two institutions maintained their own boards and academic autonomy while merging their adminstrators and administrative services. They later became jointly accredited by the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools . Boze was the inagural Dean of the College of Business for both the univerisity and the community college.CO-LOCATED CAMPUSES
Under a twenty year lease, Kent State University Stark, a comprehensive regional university leases 34 acres to neighboring Stark State Technical College. As "Co-Located" institutions, Kent State Stark provides library, wellness and other student and professional services to Stark State College of Technology and has developed a comprehensive list of articulated programs and courses.

Dr. Boze has studied seven languages, lived in the U.S., Mexico, Switzerland, Japan, East and West Germany and Italy and taught in several other countries.
She is the mother of three children. Her oldest son lives in Anchorage, Alaska and works as a fishing guide. Her daughter Broox Garrett Vogel Boze is in a doctoral program in Zoology at Colorado State University and is currently researching
Japanese Macaques (Snow Monkeys) on an NSF grant in Japan. Her youngest son, Lee-Gray Boze is President of American Petroleum (a Colorado-based petroleum geology company specializing in karst).In her personal time she prefers swimming and skiing, adventure and water sports (caving, paddling, sky diving, scuba and most recently kite boarding).
