Downtown Baoshan is the location of
Baosteel 's HQ. Baoshan District also is whereShanghai University has its main campus. The Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park on Donglin Lu has a small museum with some artifacts from theSecond World War , and a modern glass and steel pagoda. One of several schools in the district,Xing Zhi Middle School was founded by the famous educationalist from Nanjing,Tao Xingzhi . Baoshan District is starting to get served by Shanghai's Metro Network, although the network does not stretch north enough to serve central Baoshan. The 952B bus runs from the corner of Youyizhi Lu and Youyi Lu to
People's Square in central Shanghai. The number 5 tourist bus runs from Mudanjiang Lu toJiangwan Zhen metro station. There is also a ferry terminal which serves several destinations including the two hour ride toChongming Island and the longer, 12 hour journey to the buddhist island ofPutuoshan .ee also
