Ruth is a four piece Christian rock band from Battle Ground, Washington on Tooth and Nail Records. Ruth's debut album, "Secondhand Dreaming," was released June 26, 2007. Ruth is an acronym for the phrase, "Return Us To Him", as posted on the band's Myspace.

Band's History

Formation

Dustin Ruth moved to Los Angeles in pursue of finding band members to join him to form a band. After searching for, what seemed like years, he finally found a group of people that wanted the same as him, in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. They are known as "RUTH", it is the last name of the lead singer, Dustin Ruth, and has been used as an acronym for Return Us To Him.cite web |url=http://www.christianitytoday.com/music/artists/ruth.html |title=Ruth |work=Christian Music Today |accessdate=2008-05-05]

In early 2006 they released a self-titled EP, they played shows up and down the West Coast, trying to gain a fan base. Eventually they found a label, Tooth And Nail, they began recording a full length debut Album as soon as they got signed in Fall 2006.

econdhand Dreaming

They finished recording their debut, "Secondhand Dreaming" in November of 2006, they had worked with producer, Aaron Sprinkle, who has worked with several other groups. The album was released on June 26 2007, the band supported the album while on tour with Falling Up and Run Kid Run. In the fall, the band embarked on the "Appetite For Construction Tour" with Switchfoot and Relient K, it supported the charity, Habitat For Humanity.

Anorak

Following the success of Secondhand Dreaming, the band began recording their second album in the spring of 2008. They worked with Chris Keene of Surrogate as producer as well as Aaron Sprinkle again, and completed it in late May 2008.

On a brief European tour they announced their second album, Anorak, would be released on October 28 2008.

The album will be supported by a fall tour with Decemberadio.
