Lincoln International Academy

Lincoln International Academy is located in Managua, Nicaragua. It is a private, Catholic school that was founded in 1991. It is one of the few schools in Nicaragua that offer bilingual education (Spanish-English). History

Founded in Managua in 1991 on a 12 acre campus, it was built in response to demands for a school with strong Christian values, high academic standards, and fair but strict disciplinary principles. The Nicaraguan Ministry of Education accredited Lincoln International Academy in 1991.

Memberships

Lincoln International Academy hold memberships with the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), the Association of American Schools in Central America (AASCA) and the Association of American Schools of Central America, Colombia, Caribbean and Mexico ( Tri-Association).

The school offers

* 8 pre-school classrooms
* 15 primary classrooms
* 15 secondary classrooms
* 14 administrative offices
* 1 Chapel, library, 2 technology centers, science laboratory, bookstore, assembly hall, cafeteria and athletic fields.

LIA follows U.S. and Nicaraguan curriculum guidelines for Preschool, Elementary and Secondary education.

Curriculum & College Placement

LIA's curriculum places a strong focus on college preparation, offering several AP classes. 28 credit units and 100 hours of Community Service are required in order to graduate.

100% of each graduating class pursues post-secondary education. Students and alumni have been accepted to some of the world's top-rated Universities such as Georgetown University, Purdue University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Boston College, University of Texas at Austin, Emerson College, Tufts University, University of Toronto, University of Ontario, National Taiwan University, Louisiana State University, Harvard University, Duke University, University of Southern California, Universidad Carlos III in Spain, among others.
