Most of Lo-Pro's band members were already rock veterans at the time of the creation of the band; Pete Murray and Neil Godfrey had been in
Ultraspank , Tommy Stewart wasGodsmack 's original drummer, and Jonathan Fahnestock had played in both Amen and Snot. Lo-Pro was the first signing ofAaron Lewis '413 Records , his vanity imprint through Geffen. By the summer of2003 , Lo-Pro was in the studio with producerDon Gilmore , also producer forPearl Jam andLinkin Park . A few months later, their eponymous album was released. After the band was finished touring in support of the album, they were dropped by 413 records. Nothing much was heard from the group until late 2005, when the track "Ingenious" was released on their
MySpace .Currently Lo-Pro is looking for "the right label" to release their second album. They currently have some of the new tracks up on their MySpace page [http://www.myspace.com/lopromusic] . The tracks include "Texas," "Blame Me" and "Breathe."
The band recently started up another MySpace page which features four acoustic songs. "Clean the Slate," "This is Not Goodbye," "Reach," and "Not Me" are now available [http://www.myspace.com/loproacoustic] . Also, drummer Tommy Stewart recently joined Fuel as their full-time drummer. In 2007 an acoustic tour with Staind's Aaron Lewis was announced. Between songs during a performance at the Mohegan Sun, Pete Murray said:
"We're on night five on this video extravaganza, its good stuff... We put out an record a couple years back on Aarons label and now we're working on a new one. I think were going to do this DVD thing first, cause its basically done."
A full video can be found on the [http://app.synclive.com?show/18028] synclive website which includes some new tracks found nowhere else. It confirms that a DVD is very possible for the upcoming release although no announcements have been made on their websites.Band members
