Sir Anthony Aucher, 1st Baronet (1614 –
31 May 1692 ) was an English politician.The son of Sir Anthony Aucher and Hester Collett, he was a Royalist. Knighted in
Whitehall on4 July 1641 , Aucher was imprisoned two years later for his involvement in theKentish petition . He had to stay inWinchester House for nine months and was then released. From 1660 to 1661, he wasMember of Parliament (MP) for Canterbury. On4 July 1666 , he was made a Baronet, of Bishopsbourne in the County ofKent . Archer was buried inBourne inKent on31 May 1692 .Family
Around 1635, Aucher married firstly Elizabeth Hatton, daughter of Sir Robert Hatton and on
13 October 1681 , secondly Elizabeth Hewytt, daughter of Robert Hewytt inSt Bride's Church inLondon . He had six sons and one daughter by his first wife and four children by his second wife:*Elizabeth Aucher, married John Corbett
