Ethnarchy of Comana

The ethnarchy of Comana was a client-state of ancient Rome that lay between Pontus and Cappadocia. [Edward Luttwak, The Grand Strategy of the Roman Empire, Johns Hopkines University Press, 1976, p. 29] It was based around the city of Comana, Pontus and surrounding territories south of the Black Sea.
