Miss International is a pageant created by Mary and Mel Richardson to showcase the accomplishments of outstanding single women, ages 19-29 and serves as a training ground for many women like Catherine Warren and Kimberly Krueger and others who go on to win titles in larger systems.

The pageant's sister pageant Miss Teen International (USA) was featured in the TV program ASBO Teen to Beauty Queen for England's Five.
