Twinbrook, Belfast

Twinbrook ( _ga. Cill Uaighe; meaning "church of the grave") is an electoral ward of Lisburn city council currently part of West Belfast parliamentary constituency. It was created in 1985 after the large Collin ward was split in three. Twinbrook is a republican stronghold and Provisional IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands lived in the area.

Under current proposals for the restructuring of local government in Northern Ireland, an expanded Twinbrook ward is to become part of Belfast city council.

Twinbrook contains;
* two primary schools St. Mark's and St. Luke's,
* one secondary school St. Colm's
* a youth centre
* an activity centre
* a parish St. Luke's
* park
