Siechnice [IPA-pl|ś|e|h|'|n|i|c|e] (formerly _de. Tschechnitz, but renamed "Kraftborn" in the Nazi era) is a town in Wrocław County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It gained town status in 1997, and as of 2006 has a population of 3,851. Siechnice lies approximately convert|13|km|mi|0 south-east of the regional capital Wrocław, within the the gmina (administrative district) of Gmina Święta Katarzyna. It is the only town in Poland which neither gives its name to the gmina in which it lies nor serves as its administrative seat.
