José Carlos Santos da Silva commonly known as Zé Carlos (born 19 March, 1975 in Ipirá), is a Brazilian football striker who plays for C.D. Trofense.

Football career

Zé Carlos received the nickname "Zé of the Goal" while he played at Botafogo. In this team, he was champion of the 1997 Campeonato Carioca and the 1998 Torneio Rio-São Paulo. His quick feet and stunning finishes have distinguised him as a fantastic footballer especially whilst he played in SC Braga, Portugal.

He was signed by S.C. Braga in May 2006. He has spent half the season at APOEL FC recovering from injuries, getting some vital game time here and there. It is now that Ze Carlos has overcome his injuries and has delighted fans especially whilst winning the rival match against AC Omonia by gaining the penalty. He also helped APOEL FC to win the Cup in Cyprus.He is considered a big talent and plays younger than his age.
