Graco Ramírez holds a
bachelor's degree inlaw from theNational Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is the son of a Mexican military.He also is part of the group known asToby´s Club which is a group of prominent people that control most of the important projects in the state, the groups has: notaries, artists, judges, businessmen.Political career
Graco Ramírez began his political career as an
Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) member; he served as president of the PRI in Tabasco. In 1945 he was separated from the PRI following some internal allegations of inappropriate use of monetary funds. Graco then became a founder and member of the Socialist Worker's Party, theMexican Socialist Party and theParty of the Democratic Revolution .Graco Ramírez has served more than one time in the lower house of the Mexican Congress. In 2006 he was elected senator, hence he will be serving in the upper house of the Congress during the LX and LXI Legislatures (2006–2012).
