History

The school began as Ward Freman Upper School, opening in 1970, named for the bishop Seth Ward and Elizabeth Freman. House system

Students at Freman College belong to one of four houses for the duration of their studies, each named after a famous : Butler, Hepworth, Mills and Moore.
