- Carl F. Hostetter
Carl F. Hostetter (born 1965) is a computer scientist at
NASA 'sGoddard Space Flight Center , and a key figure of theElvish Linguistic Fellowship . He is the author of numerous articles onTolkien ian linguistics, and the editor of two journals on the subject,Vinyar Tengwar (print) andTengwestië (online). Hostetter has also contributed to various mailing-lists dedicated to Tolkien's languages, includingTolklang andElfling , and founded two others,Lambengolmor in 2002 andElfling-d . Together withChristopher Gilson ,Arden R. Smith ,Bill Welden , andPatrick H. Wynne (called by some the "Elfconner s"), he has been engaged byChristopher Tolkien in the ordering, editing, and publishing ofTolkien 's writings concerning his invented languages, which have been published as "Parma Eldalamberon " numbers 11 through 17 (and continuing) and in "Vinyar Tengwar".Together with
