yes stars 1 is an Israeli television channel carried by the Israeli satellite television provider - "yes", which broadcasts American and British TV shows. The channel aired on March 4, 2007 (replacing the former foreign TV shows channel yes+), and broadcasts the shows' new episodes on weeknights (Sundays - Thursdays), and its re-runs on weekdays and weekends (Fridays - Saturdays).

The channel is a part of re-brand the foreign TV shows channels broadcasted on "yes".
yesSTARS - aired only on March 5, 2006 - expanded to 3 channels: "yes stars 1", yes stars 2 and yes stars 3. All the 3 channels aired on March 4, 2007. "yes+" has been cancelled on March 3, 2007.

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which aired on "yes stars 1" since its air date, has been moved since February 3, 2008, to "yes stars 3", every Sunday-Thursday on 22:30.

On March 14, 2008, as part of a re-brand of the television shows channels on "yes", "yes stars 1" obtained a new logo.
