Kathy Tayler

Kathy Tayler born 1960, is a Champion Modern pentathlete and TV presenter., She was a double Modern Pentathlon World Champion at just 19 years old, retired from competition in 1983, and she gained a BSc Honours degree in physiology at Southampton University.

Her TV credits include A Question of Sport, Stopwatch, Holiday, Good Morning Britain, and After Nine.

Kathy Tayler joined TV-am in 1989 as co-presenter of "Good Morning Britain" with Mike Morris and Richard Keys. She later moved to the "After Nine" programme when Jayne Irving left and remained regular presenter until December 1992.

She presented and reported on BBC's "Holiday" for 12 years, initially undertaking a variety of weird and wonderful cold, wet, muddy, exhausting, outdoor pursuits. However, when her daughter Rebecca was born in 1991, she changed to reporting family style holidays and 'exotic' trips.

Her husband Alan Olley is a photographer, so Kathy opted to stay at home until her three children were of school age. She has returned to TV, where she is an authority on gem stones on "QVC."
