John Holliman

John Holliman (October 23, 1948 — September 12, 1998) was an American journalist. He was a member of the original reporting corps for CNN, joining the network at its inception in 1980 as its agriculture correspondent. He rose to prominence as one of CNN's "Boys of Baghdad" during the first Persian Gulf War in 1991, and was one of only three journalists reporting from Baghdad when allied bombing of the city began. He was later known for his coverage of space exploration and was slated to cover John Glenn's return to space when he was killed in a car accident near his home in suburban Atlanta.

In May 1999, NASA dedicated the press site auditorium at the Kennedy Space Center in Holliman's name.
