Bus services ran in the early morning to ferry passengers from the industrial estate in which the station was placed toLeeds railway station . A passenger welcome board stood at the junction of Water Lane and Springwell Road, informing passengers of this temporary station, the building work atLeeds City railway station and other information. The colour scheme of the time was the standard white, grey and crimson colours ofRailtrack . CCTV signs were placed around the site, warning that footage of people could be used in a court of law.The site today
When
Leeds railway station modernisation was completed, Leeds (Whitehall) station was dismantled. The site, as of Spring 2007, is still there - the passenger notice board is still in place, but the words Leeds (Whitehall) have been painted over and the actual information board holders have been removed. The CCTV warning signs are still in place around the information sign, but a large metal fence has been put up erected, cutting off the bus turning circle and former bus stands. A large red 'Closed' sign (used for stations that have recently been closed) informs any members of the public that the station that once stood here is now closed. However, the yellow 'Bus Stop' markings and other road markings on the bus turning circle are still there.References
