Hans Dorjee

Hans Pieter Hendrik Dorjee (July 26, 1941 – July 25, 2002) was a football manager and player from the Netherlands, who played for DHC from Delft, Xerxes, Xerxes/DHC and Holland Sport. He retired in 1971, and started to work as a coach.

Born in Delft, Zuid-Holland Dorjee worked for Hermes/DWS, Xerxes, De Graafschap, NAC Breda, Excelsior Rotterdam, DS '79, Vitesse Arnhem, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord Rotterdam, TOP Oss, AA Gent en the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), where he guided Jong Oranje (under 21) and the Olympic team. He had to stop due to heart problems in 1998.

Dorjee was named coach at Feyenoord by former international Wim Jansen, but had to resign after some criticism in a newspaper interview just before the Cup Winners Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur on March 18, 1992. He died aged sixty, when he was struck by a heart attack playing tennis.
