Bachelor of Computing and Financial Management

Bachelor of Computing and Financial Management is one of the newest programs at the University of Waterloo created in 2006. Jointly offered by the School of Accountancy in the Faculty of Arts and the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Math, these students take computer science courses along with the financial management courses. Upon completion, these students will receive a unique degree in Canada, Bachelor Computing and Financial Management (BCFM). The first class of approximately 42 is expected to graduate in 2011.

Prospective Students

Admission Criterion
* Ontario Secondary School Diploma
* Grade 12 U or M courses including
** Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus
** Geometry and Discrete Mathematics any 12 U English (a final grade of 75% is recommended)
** Information and Computer Science or one other Grade 12 U course
* Grade 11 Computer and Information Science and Principles of Financial Accounting are recommended courses

For students applying outside Ontario, the university will consider the average marks of your senior English and mathematics (including Calculus) courses.
