p9 SportsGroup is a Promotions and Marketing enterprise that has an on-going interest and involvement in promoting and competing in various sporting events.
p9 SportsGroup is a multi-sport organization, fielding both motorsports and cycling race teams. Founded in 1991, p9 MotorSports was originally named GSR Racing, then became projekt9 Racing, p9 Racing, before ultimately morphing into the present day p9 SportsGroup.
Based out of the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast regions of the United States the team contested Regional and National motorcycle road racing events, from Michigan to Daytona.
The team competed in the Western Eastern Road Racers Association (WERA) and with the Championship Cup Series (CCS). Over the past 16 years, the moniker may have changed, but the basic personnel remained the same. The team has one regional win, seven top 3 finishes, and twenty five top 10s. One of the biggest highlights for p9 MotorSports, was a third place finish at Daytona in 1993 in the CCS Lightweight class. Also, finishing fifth in the points overall in the WERA National 125 Grand Prix Series in 1994.
Out of racing, came a need for in-house marketing and promotions for the team, hence p9 SportsGroup was born. Beginning in 2000 p9 SportsGroup took over the day to day operations of the racing program, and also started to promote their own sporting activities and events.
In 2007, p9 SportsGroup formed EdgeCrusher Racing, a mountain bike race team that will compete in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regional cycling events.
p9 SportsGroup has established itself as an experienced, committed, racing and sporting organization. p9 has also been an active participant over the 12 plus years with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, as well as other notable charities. Giving back to the community has and will always be one of the most important missions in life.
