JX was a British dance project, which found success in 1993 following a deal struck with Hooj Choons, a UK dance record label. The project was the work of Jake Williams, a DJ and remixer who remains actively involved in dance music and other projects. He currently produces original material as well as remixes under the moniker 'Rex the Dog'.

Chart success

JX was a successful project, selling in excess of 500,000 copies of popular and anthemic dance tracks. Particularly successful tracks included "Son Of A Gun" (1994), which gave him his first Top 20 entry at #13 in the UK, "There's Nothing I Won't Do" (1996), which was his biggest hit, reaching #4 on the UK Singles Chart, "You Belong To Me" (1995) made #17 in the singles chart, and most recently "Restless", which charted on the UK Singles Chart at #22 in 2004.

Various presses were released on formats appropriate to the buying public, enthusiasts and DJs.

Remixes

JX also provided remixes for other popular tracks of the 1990s, including "Call It Love" (1994), "I Love Saturday" (1994) and "U Girls" (1994).
