He played in Super Bowl XV for the Philadelphia Eagles and was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1981 season. He is currently a coach for middle school football, track, and girls basketball at Brentwood Middle School in Tennessee. His son, Dennis Harrison III appeared in the 1991 Touchstone Pictures Halloween-themed comedy film Ernest Scared Stupid.
