Ambra Vallo (Italy) is a classical ballet dancer. Born in
Naples ,Italy , she is currently a Principal Dancer with theBirmingham Royal Ballet .Biography
She trained at the Royal Ballet School of Flanders. At seventeen she was invited as a guest artist by the
Teatro dell'Opera di Roma to inaugurate theballet season. Already Soloist of the “Royal Opera of Wallonie” and after of the “Royal Ballet of Flanders”, she has been Senior soloist of theEnglish National Ballet from 1993. From the 2001 she is the most famous “Principal” of theBirmingham Royal Ballet . “Debrett's people of today” included her between the one thousand most famous personages of United Kingdom.She gained critical acclaim worldwide participating in several international competitions: her achievements include the first prize at the "Luxemburg International Grand Prix"; the Silver medal, at
Houlgate , France. In Italy, she won prizes at "Danza e danza" (Best dancer, 2004),Positano (Prize of the critic, 1991 and 2002), "Rieti (Gold Medal).She has created roles for ballets, including: Bintley's Titania (The Shakespeare Suite), 'Annunciation' (The Protecting Veil), Wild Girl (Beauty and the Beast), Kim Brandstrup's Pimpinella (
Pulcinella ), Lila York's Sanctum, Stanton Welch's Powder and Luciano Cannito's "Te voglio bene assaje".Her principal repertory:
