binomial_authority = (Hartert, 1898)The Flores Hawk-eagle, "Spizaetus floris" is a medium-sized, up to 79cm long, crestless dark brown raptor in the family Accipitridae. This species resembles and sometimes considered as a subspecies of the Changeable Hawk-eagle. The Flores Hawk-eagle is distinguished from the latter for having an all white underparts. Both sexes are similar.

An Indonesian endemic, the Flores Hawk-eagle is distributed in lowland and submontane forests of Flores, Lombok and Sumbawa of Lesser Sunda Islands group. The diet consists mainly of birds, lizards, snakes and mammals.

Due to ongoing habitat loss, small population size, limited range and hunting in some areas, the Flores Hawk-eagle is evaluated as Endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
