Lymington New Forest Hospital is a community hospital in Lymington, Hampshire. Constructed at a cost of £36 million[ [http://www.hampshirepct.nhs.uk/news.htm?newsid=4425&stdate= Hampshire PCT News: Royal opening for new Hospital] ] by Ryhurst Ltd through a private finance initiative [ [http://www.newforestpct.nhs.uk/hospitals/pfiindex.html New Forest PCT Community Hospitals] ] , the hospital was opened on 6th February 2007 by Princess Anne.]The hospital houses a diagnostic treatment centre, several specialist outpatient clinics, two operating theatres, two endoscopy suites, a radiology department comprising three radiology rooms and two ultra sound suites, medical and surgical day units, a medical unit including stroke rehabilitation and a surgical ward.
There is also an urgent care centre which combines a minor injuries unit, a medical assessment unit and the out of hours service. Additional facilities include a pharmacy, education and training centre, clinical library, restaurant, League of Friends shop and tea bar, multi faith room, hospital radio and extended staff facilities.
The hospital is owned and administered by the Hampshire Primary Care Trust and replaced the older Lymington Hospital.
