Features

*Vegavathi River takes its origin in the nearby hills in Eastern Ghats. It is a tributary to Suvarnamukhi which in turn is a tributary to River Nagavali.

*Vegavathi Anicut [ [http://irrigation.cgg.gov.in/dp/VizayanagaramDistrictProfile.jsp Irrigation profile of Vizianagaram district] ] was constructed across River Vegavathi during 1954-1958. The project is located near Karrivalsa village and utilizes 0.653 TMC of the available water. The Ayacut of 2,664 Acres has been stabilised in Pachipenta and Salur Mandals of Vizianagaram District.
