The village is located in the southern part of the island and is situated in the wet to dry climate and it receives little precipitation annually. Farmlands are the island's most common and are mainly of cattle, groves and some fruits and vegetables and rarely some fruit productions and are nearly the size of the football field and its only has about tens of farms, some foodstuffs are received from the northern and the southern parts of the nation as well as the island. The area are hilly and rocky with rocks and some grasslands and bushes and not as deserted, the
Chão de Estância dominates the northern half of the area and contains mountains as well, the plain dominates the southern portion of the region. Its soil color ranges from tan to red.Other information
The village is in the island's low to mid class. Most of the houses are built with stone and concrete, several houses are built with either steel reinforced concrete or with stone and wood, a few homes are made up of mud and brick. Much of its population are farmers and are based in agriculture. The area received no income until the mid to late-20th century and is the island's poorest settlement. However, a part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances arrived in the late-20th century in the area as well as phone lines. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
