- Ho, Ho, Ho
:"This article describes the RuPaul album and not the trademark laughter of
Santa Claus .""Ho, Ho, Ho" (officially titled "VH1 Presents RuPaul Ho Ho Ho") is the 1997
album ofChristmas music released bydrag queen ,singer and actressRuPaul . The album was a combination of original music, standards andcomedy vignettes. Most of the traditional songs were given acampy twist. The title is adouble entendre : though it is a phrase associated with Christmas (it is the sound of Santa'slaughter expressed throughonomatopoeia ,) the term "ho" also refers to a whore orprostitute . The album's cover features three scantily-clad versions of RuPaul, and the back cover features her legs withpanties around theankle s; these are the "three hoes".The album was tied-in to a
television Christmas special from "The RuPaul Show " onVH1 . Much of thehumor on the album is of a nature, making it quite different from traditionallywholesome holiday albums. For instance, the classic "All I Want For Christmas" is turned into a thumping dance song with lyrical changes requestingbreast implants , atummy tuck andrhinoplasty , so that (as she sings) "I can look real purty!".
