James Dwyer

James K. "Pat" Dwyer was the head football coach at Louisiana State University for three seasons from 1911 to 1913. Playing career

Dwyer was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He lettered two seasons, 1906 and 1907, for Penn under coach Cap Williams. Dwyer helped Penn to its fifth National Title. This came after an 11-1 campaign in his last year at with the Quakers. This title was awarded retroactively by Parke Davis with other organizations naming Yale as champion. [2006 University of Pennsylvania Football Media Guide, p. 15] This teams was led by All-American linemen August Ziegler at guard and Dexter Draper at tackle.
