Angus Reid Strategies

Angus Reid Strategies is a North American full service market research firm. It was established in 2006 by Angus Reid, a Canadian sociologist who founded his first research company in 1979. Reid sold the Angus Reid Group to Paris-based Ipsos SA in 2000. ARS conducts regional, national and multi-country research. The company also runs the Angus Reid Forum, an online panel with respondents from all over North America. The ARS headquarters are in Toronto, Canada, and the company has offices in Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal. ARS has two affiliate companies: Vision Critical, a specialized software-development company that creates advanced online research tools, and the Angus Reid Global Monitor, a web-based project that monitors public opinion and democratic processes worldwide every day.

In March 2007, an Angus Reid Strategies online survey accurately predicted the outcome of Quebec's provincial election, including the second-place finish of Action démocratique du Quebec (ADQ). In May 2007, an Angus Reid Strategies online poll came closest to the final outcome of Manitoba's provincial ballot. Fact|date=June 2008
