"De Eerste Keer" (English translation: "The First Time") was the Dutch entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1996, performed in Dutch by Maxine & Franklin Brown.

The song is a moderately up-tempo number, with the duo singing about getting back in touch with each other many years after having been in a relationship. They describe their feelings during the former relationship, and conclude that they should see each other again, aiming to "pick it up just like the first time".

The song was performed fifteenth on the night (following Slovenia's Regina with "Dan Najlepših Sanj" and preceding Belgium's Lisa del Bo with "Liefde Is Een Kaartspel"). At the close of voting, it had received 78 points, placing 7th in a field of 23.

It was succeeded as Dutch representative at the 1997 Contest by Mrs. Einstein with "Niemand Heeft Nog Tijd".
