Canton Middle School (CMS) is located in Canton, Haywood County, North Carolina. Before CMS became a middle school it was a high school called Canton High School. Canton Middle School mascot is a bear and the CMS school colors are red and black. Canton Middle Schools sports include football, volleyball, soccer, wrestling, track & field, cross country, softball, baseball, basketball, and golf.
In April 2007, Canton Middle School was awarded an IMPACT Model School grant. This grant will enable the school to implement all 8 components of the IMPACT Guidelines for Media and Technology Programs.
