Bill Richmond (director)

William "Corky" Richmond (born 1958, Long Island, New York) is a television producer, director and editor who has worked for MTV and VH1. Among other projects, he has produced the TV short "A Day in the Life of Jenny McCarthy", and was co-director of the 1991 documentary "" and the mini-series "Sex in the 90s".

He was, for a short while, a director on the first season of the fledgling series "" in 1992. His association with that series came to a quick end when he moved on-screen and became romantically involved with one of the cast, Becky Blasband, when the show vacationed in Jamaica. Before starting his career in video production, Richmond spent several years training to be a pilot at the Florida Institute of Technology, but had to leave that profession due to impaired depth perception. While at F.I.T., Richmond got his first taste of the entertainment industry by performing with the F.I.T. College Players as "Writer" in Neil Simon's "The Good Doctor".
