Lunsar is the third largest town in Port Loko District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. The population was 23,387 [http://www.world-gazetteer.com/wg.php?x=&men=gpro&lng=en&dat=32&geo=-3314&srt=npan&col=aohdq&pt=c&va=&geo=355300745] . The town lies about 35 km (22 miles) east of the district capital of Port Loko and 125 km (78 miles) east of Freetown. The town is primarily inhabited by the Temne ethnic group.
