History

PARC Management was formed in 2002, consisting of management team members previously involved with other major park chains, including the original Six Flags Theme Parks, Ogden Entertainment, and Alfa SmartParks.[2] In 2007, PARC purchased a group of 7 theme and water parks from Six Flags Inc for US$312 million. The underlying real property was immediately sold to a real-estate investment firm called CNL Income Properties and then leased back for operation.[3]

In 2008, PARC purchased Magic Springs and Crystal Falls in Hot Springs, Arkansas from its former owners. Shortly after, they purchased Myrtle Waves Water Park and five NASCAR SpeedParks.[4]

In November of 2010, PARC expanded the Company’s development and operation of new concept theme and water parks and its operational management services provided to third-party owners, joint venture partners and government entities. In order to facilitate its expansion, PARC and CNL Lifestyle Properties Inc. entered into an agreement terminating its leases with CNL Lifestyle Properties and agreeing to sell to CNL Lifestyle Properties its interest in the leased parks.
