[cite web | title=About Wildside | publisher=Swordsmith Productions | url=http://www.wildsidegame.com/about_wildside.html | accessdate=2007-01-31]The author claims the rules are very realistic, designed for experienced and
adult players. The game mechanic revolves around four six-sideddice (commonly referred to as "4d6"). The characters' attributes are determined by 4d6 and action resolution, including combat are resolved by rolling 4d6.Combat is resolved by comparing the attacker's and defender's combat rolls of 4d6 on a special combat chart. Combat damage is determined on several charts cross-referencing a roll of two 10-sided dice (read as a
percent age, i.e. giving a value between 1 to 100) and the body part hit.
