GiriGiri was a Japanese Sega Saturn emulator developed in 2001, which was able to run commercial software at a decent speed. Initially a freeware program that worked only with the Japanese version of Microsoft Windows 98, Sega hired the developer behind the project and bought the software to provide an online service for downloadable Sega Saturn titles.
