Ryan Oliver Sampson (born 28 November 1985) is an English actor best known for his role as Alex Venables in the British sitcom "After You've Gone".

Personal life

He was born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England, UK. [ [http://www.spotlight.com/interactive/cv/1/a828/M86641.html Spotlight: RYAN SAMPSON] ] He went to school in Kiveton Park (Wales High School) where he spent most of his time in school productions. His sister has also appeared in various TV shows.

Career

Prior to "After You've Gone", Sampson appeared in "Wire in the Blood", in 2003, "In Denial of Murder", "Heartbeat" and "Holby City" in 2006. He appeared in the BBC Three pilot "The Things I Haven't Told You" and had a role in two episodes of the 2008 series of "Doctor Who", playing the child genius Luke Rattigan in "The Sontaran Stratagem" and "The Poison Sky". He is currently working at the National Theatre.
