Gaelic Athletic Association Club is agaelic football club inBallyroan ,County Laois ,Republic of Ireland .The original
Ballyroan GAA club was founded in1887 . The club colours were originally royal blue with a dominant white V on the front, later being changed to sky blue and navy. The
Ballyroan GAA club won eightLaois Senior Football Championship titles in its own right, the most recent of which was in1992 .In
2006 , a number of Ballyroan players were part of the Ballyroan Gaels squad that won theLaois Senior Football Championship . Ballyroan Gaels was a temporary amalgamation of the two neighbouring clubs, Abbeyleix and Ballyroan. This aamalgation was made permanment in 2007, where they became known asBallyroan Abbey GAA . This was also a yea of great surprise, when they lost toThe Heath in a relegation play-off game meaning they would take part in Intermediate rather than Senior level in the 2008 Championship.Padraig McMahon Scott Conroy and Michael Tierney are current Laois senior panellists and they follow in the footsteps of the likes ofLiam Irwin , Pat Dunne, Micky Drennan and Tony McMahon.
