Maria Christian is a singer born in Dundalk in 1957 who represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in which she sang "Wait Until The Weekend Comes". She got 91 points and came 6th place overall.[1]
"Wait Until The Weekend Comes" reached number 15 in the Irish charts. Maria's follow-up single "Star" reached number 30 in the Irish charts in December 1985.
