Gun Hill is a distinctive peak in the southern end of the Peak District with a noticeable area of moorland along the plateau. The peak is often overlooked by its neighbouring peaks of The Roaches, Hen Cloud and Ramshaw rocks however it still features unspoilt scenery and some fantastic hill walking. The peak overshadows and nestles above the town of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands which is an ideal base whilst visiting the Peak District national Park.
