Oxford's FM 107.9 is an Independent Local Radio station broadcasting to Oxfordshire, United Kingdom on 107.9 FM, online and overnight on Six TV (Oxford). It was originally called Passion 107.9 FM and primarily played dance and R'n'B music. It was formerly owned by the Milestone Group but has now been sold to Absolute Radio International.

In September 2006, former Big Brother contestant Eugene Sully (who also works for the Sussex-based station Passion Radio) 'took over' the airwaves and played The Muppets' 'Mahna Mahna' non-stop for six hours until Passion FM managers came round to his way of thinking that better music was played on the station, and to be hired as a chief engineer there. This was supposedly a stunt to highlight the relaunch of the station.

The syndicated American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest is broadcast as part of the weekend line-up and is the first in the UK to do so.

Oxford's FM107.9 is based at 270 Woodstock Road in north Oxford.

Anna Cookson

Anna used to work at FM 107.9 alongside Adam Weighell on The Breakfast Fiasco but left when she was offered a job in London. Her co-workers deeply miss her and are very sad she has left.

Rosie Tratt

Tratt works at Oxfords FM 107.9 with Adam Weighell on The Breakfast Fiasco, playing songs off the Top 40 and reading news, and also Girls' Talk every Sunday evening The Breakfast Fiasco is on air from 6:30am until 10:00am, Monday to Friday every week. She has a slight weakness for KitKat Chunky's and cups of hot water (together) but being a vegetarian, she won't eat meat.

Adam Weighell

Works with Rosie Tratt on The Breakfast Fiasco every weekday morning and you can also join him every Sunday morning with the most music across Oxford, from 4am until 7am.

Mark Devlin

Mark Devlin began a new radio show as of January on Oxford's FM107.9. Just Buggin deals exclusively with the 'quality', organic end of the R&B, street soul and hip hop spectrum. The show will fuse brand new exclusives with fondly-remembered throwbacks. So you might hear new sounds from the likes of Amerie, Lloyd, Joe, Nas, Snoop Dogg and Yummy Bingham, fused with the odd classic from Aaliyah, Mary J Blige or A Tribe Called Quest. It all kicks off every Wednesday from 10.30pm to 12.30am!

Kid Fury

"Born at Oxford's JR Hospital, December 24th 1976. Mom says I cried a lot as a baby, but most parents think rapping is a lot of noise about nothing so at two days old I told her just you watch Mum I'm gonna be somebody. Then she put some stuff - I think it's called brandy or something - on my dummy... that shut me up for a few years. I got my first radio break on Oxygen 107.9. The Boombox show, which I presented, was voted the UK's fifth best radio show in 2001 and it could only be heard out here in little Oxford. I thought 'wow, I must be dope' and stepped my rap game up and started another show at Oxygen alongside one Mark Devlin (Joints & Jams) recorded my first single alongside Verb T & Harry Love (Flow Professionals). Then I had another brandy to celebrate. I'm pretty sure when my hangover had cleared I'd been fired I think... well anyway, they wouldn't let me in to get my mail. Then my longtime cohort Kim wrote FM107.9 a letter and our bossman read it. They let us both in the building for an interview and the rest is history... That's the short version - for the full story, let's meet for a brandy and coke sometime."

pex

Spex started DJing in the clubs at the age of 16, and got his name "Spex" he wears glasses.
